I recently stayed with motel 6 on south tryon charlotte nc i booked a non smoking room only to find cigerette buds behind my toilet a open shampoo bottle in my shower my cable wasn't connected and neither was my telephone for the room they couldn't get maintenance to come until 10 the following morning which was a hr from check out maintenance was really rude slamming my remote telling me the antenna wasnt connected I've worked for motel 6 and i know they are more professional then this i had one was clothes and a half role of toilet tissue i feel extremely offended by the treatment i received and hope to hear back from you all soon

We are having a problem with Motel 6 in Oceanside California. Same issues horrible room so checked out within an hour and we were still charge for the room.

I checked in on monday aug 7tg aboht 1245 in rm219. By the time night came and the lights came on a bunch of black bugs came out. Bugs were on my bed and face. Office moved me to rm 215 but cable box wasnt working. Then to room 214 and there was bugs all over in thar room. Then they moved me to rm 130 which was bug free but trash was left behind the beds and tables. I was told i needed to talk to management in the morning. When i called front desk the owner told me there is nothing he can do. Did not aplogize for my inconvience or show any type of emyphy.

My family and I were on vacation and decided we needed to crash a day or so before finishing our cross country trip. We stopped in a small town outside Greensboro North Carolina called Winston Salem. Motel 6 was the closest to the interstate so we went there. What a big mistake!!! First time going in the room I was instantly disgusted. There was mold the carpet was dirty and wet. There was a mildew outdoor the sheets had cigarette burns. After switching rooms a few times we got something liveable. I tried to turn on my mobile WiFi it wouldn't work. I was then told by the attendant that there's a diffuser in the office to stop all data usage"THAT'S HOW WE MAKE OUR MONEY! WE CHARGE FIVE DOLLARS FOR EACH DEVICE!!" I've never been so disheartened. The place was a dump. I broke down crying after my husband told me we couldn't get our money back. My family and I will never be coming back here and my room is booked at Spring hill suites I'm waiting till 5am so we can check in and take showers. Did I mention the bathrooms look so disgusting and moldy in the showers we couldn't get in long just for a quick wash. I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone human.

I was standing in the office of Motel 6 at 1415 Tunnel Road, Asheville, NC when the CRS asks (on a walkie-talkie) "What's the status of 201?" and then she got a reply: "201 is clean". Well, I'm here to tell you: 201 WAS NOT CLEAN--nor was it "ready". I understand they've recently made renovations to this particular hotel and, while the new floor & fresh coat is paint is nice, it doesn't distract from the other horrible conditions of the room. Here's a list: 1. There were stains on some of the furniture. 2. The bed (which is probably the ONE most important piece of furniture in a small room like this) was atrocious. It felt like it was just a boxspring on top of another boxspring. Truly awful and the offerings for covers included a horrid shower curtain-type thing, a soft'ish thing and a sheet that looked about 20 years old. The pillows were OK, but the pillow cases stained. 3. We found HAIR (pubic and from someone's head) in the shower. We both have short or no hair so we're convinced it was the previous occupants--what a nice friggin' surprise for us. 4. The mat that a person places down on the floor for folks exiting the shower was dirty. 5. They ask you to pay $4.99 for terribly slow & unsecure "premium WiFi". Not to mention we're told it's $4.99 PER DEVICE. What the actual heck does that even mean? If we have 2 computers, a tablet and a smart-phone the charge would be 20 bucks for something which the motel probably pays 19.99 per month? That's ridiculous. 6. Other than the cleanliness of the shower, the water temperature & water pressure was pretty good. 7. We had on white socks upon arrival and it's clear the "new floor" isn't really mopped--swept maybe, but not really cleaned. A couple of the employees either really hated their job or just didn't care enough about us to show any interest for our needs and we are paying their salary. ALSO--If a guest says "no cleaning in the room is necessary"--STAY OUT! If we weren't very honest people we could sue because we specifically asked that no one clean our room while were were gone for the day. And yet we KNOW there was someone in there. I understand what we should expect when we pay 60 bucks but some things in this room were really inexcusable--cleanliness and a decent bed for travelers is really all we ask and not too demanding. You need'nt "leave the light on" for us again as we won't be back.

Motel 6 in Clemmons, North Carolina - Disgusting room and service

We contacted Motel 6 in Oklahoma City requesting a pet friendly single bed non smoking room for 1 night. We were returning home from Sturgis and after 14 hours on the road were ready to stop for the day/night. The first 2 we called had nothing available, so they referred us to the NorthWest location. We were told, yes, they had 1 room left, so we booked it. Upon arrival, the place looked fine, actually looked like a newer facility. We checked in at the desk, then went to dinner. When we got back and went to the room we found it was not non smoking and smelled like an ashtray. There were no towels, no soap, no remote, no trash can and no ice bucket. The security lock was broken off the door, obviously from the door being "kicked in" as the door had several foot size indentations in it, which also kept it from having a tight seal at the bottom. The night stands on either side of the bed were pulled from the wall and barely hanging on, at a sharp angle. The bathroom was another experience in itself. The tub and commode were lined with burn marks from what I hope were only cigarettes. After pulling back the shower curtain, which was attached to a rod that was falling out of the wall, we discovered an assortment of dead flies. We went to the office to see about another room and were told there were none. The floor was non carpeted and looked clean, the sheets also looked clean so we opted to stay, as it was now almost 11pm. We were given attitude when we asked for towels and soap. No apologies were given or offered for the lack of necessities in the room. In fact, nothing was said at all. The manager on duty simply went to the closet and returned with a stack of towels which were shoved in my arms. He then turned and left. Still no soap. Fortunately we had soap of our own. I have sent 3 letters to their "guest relations" department and received 3 auto responses stating someone would get back to me soon. No surprise, I still have not had anyone get back to me. Their Face Book page has a comment stating that customers cannot contact their CEO Joe Amorosia directly. Why? What are they trying to hide? Other than filth, lack of customer service and broken down rooms? They should be ashamed. Just because you are a budget/cost effective travel option is no reason to be dirty and rude. I will NEVER stay at a Motel 6 again.
